Scholarship Purpose
To support aspiring Infection Preventionists from low-income countires, counties, or areas by covering exam fees for the Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology, Inc. (CBIC) Certified in Infection Control (CIC) and the Associated - Infection Prevention and Control (a-IPC).

- 2. Certification Eligibility: Must meet all CBIC CIC or a-IPC exam criteria as outlined by the CBIC.

- 3. Financial Need: Proof of financial hardship, such as income statement, letters of support, or tax documents.

- 4. Experience and Intent: Demonstrated commitment to infection prevention and control through resume or CV, showing relevant experience, education, or professional goals.

- 5. First-Time Applicant: Scholarship is limited to first-time CBIC CIC or a-IPC exam applicants.

- 1. Application Form: Complete the online or paper scholarship application form.

- 2. Resume / CV: Include professional history, educational background, and relevant skills.

- 3. Personal Statement: Write a 500-word essay explaining why you want to become a certified CIC or a-IPC professional and how this certification will impact your career and community.

- 4. Proof of Eligibility: Submit documentation showing financial need and eligibility for the CBIC CIC or a-IPC exam.

- 5. Letter of Recommendation: Submit up to 3 letters of recommendation from professional references.
